Guidant Announces Enrollment Completion for Largest Clinical Trial to Study Right Ventricular Pacing

Company to Reiterate Third Quarter and Full-Year Guidance

Indianapolis, Ind. - Guidant Corporation (NYSE: GDT) will host its previously announced mid-quarter conference call today, Thursday, , at 8:30 a.m. EDT.

On the conference call today, the company will provide an update on both its cardiac rhythm management and vascular intervention businesses. The company will also reaffirm its previously stated third quarter and full-year 2004 financial guidance.
