Boston Scientific Named a Top Global Innovator

Boston Scientific is proud to be recognized for the third consecutive year as a Derwent Top 100 Global Innovator by Clarivate Analytics. This annual report highlights the world’s most innovative organizations for research and development, protection of their intellectual property and the achievement of commercial success.

In 2018, Boston Scientific launched approximately 100 new products, helped 27 million patients and invested approximately $1 billion in research and development. We asked several of our employees what makes innovation at Boston Scientific meaningful to them. Hear what they had to say:

The Derwent Top 100 Global Innovators methodology analyzes patent and citation data across four main criteria: patent volume, application-to-grant success, globalization and citation influence (how often a patent is cited by other companies in the patenting of their inventions). This year’s listing of global innovators includes companies from three continents and 12 countries/regions.
