Each day, we are inspired to innovate in new ways to improve the healthcare system and most importantly, the patient experience. We were recently recognized by the Edison Awards for three innovative products that are making a meaningful difference for patients.

The Habib™ EndoHPB Bipolar Radiofrequency Catheter received a Gold award in the Medical Innovations subcategory. The Habib Catheter is the first Radio Frequency ablation catheter indicated in the U.S. for malignant or benign tissue ablation in the pancreatic and biliary tract.

The ORISE™ Gel Submucosal Lifting Agent received a Silver award in the Advanced Surgical Instruments subcategory. The ORISE Gel is designed to be used for submucosal lift of polyps, adenomas, early-stage cancers or other gastrointestinal mucosal lesions prior to excision with a snare or other endoscopic device.

The Tactra™ Malleable Penile Prosthesis received a Bronze award in the Medical Prosthetics and Prosthesis subcategory. The Tactra Penile Prosthesis is a natural-feeling, malleable penile implant for the treatment of erectile dysfunction. It is the only penile implant constructed around a Nitinol core, which provides excellent rigidity, durability and concealment.

The Edison Awards, named for Thomas Edison, is an annual competition honoring excellence in new product and service development, marketing, human-centered design and innovation. Nominations receive an unbiased, high-powered, focus group review by the Edison Awards Steering Committee, comprised of hand-picked industry experts from a spectrum of disciplines.
