Guidant CEO Ron Dollens Named to the Board of Directors of the Alliance for Aging Research

Indianapolis, IN - Guidant Corporation (NYSE and PCX: GDT) today announced that Guidant president and CEO Ron Dollens has been named to the board of directors of the Alliance for Aging Research. Dollens'' nomination to the board was approved at the organization's board meeting Sept. 14 and he will assume his role effective immediately.

"Ron Dollens is a significant leader in the fast-moving world of medical technology," said Daniel Perry, executive director of the Alliance for Aging Research. "He will bring real strength and commitment to the achievable dream of expanding the human experience in healthy and vital aging."
