Guidant to Host Vascular Intervention Investor Briefing at AHA

Indianapolis, Ind. - Guidant Corporation (NYSE and PCX: GDT), a world leader in the treatment of cardiovascular and vascular disease, announced today that it will host an investor briefing during the American Heart Association meeting in Anaheim, Calif., on Tuesday, Nov. 13, at 11 a.m. (EST). The briefing will be webcast live on the day of the event.

The meeting will be hosted by John Capek, Ph.D., president, Vascular Intervention, Guidant Corporation, and will feature a review of current and future vascular intervention business opportunities, including an update on the company's drug-coated stent programs. Also participating in the meeting will be Thomas Linnemeier, M.D., chief medical officer and vice president of new ventures, Vascular Intervention, Guidant Corporation.

The live webcast of Guidant's analyst meeting will be accessible through Guidant's website or at CCBN's individual investor center at CompanyBoardroom.com. The webcast will be archived on both websites for future on-demand replay.
