Guidant Announces Live Webcast of Annual Analyst Meetin

Indianapolis, Ind. - Guidant Corporation (NYSE and PCX: GDT), a world leader in the treatment of cardiovascular and vascular disease, announced today that it will host its annual analyst meeting in New York on Oct. 23, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. (EST). The meeting will be webcast live on the day of the event.

The meeting will be hosted by Guidant President and CEO Ron Dollens, and will feature a review of current and future business opportunities, including an update on the company's drug-coated stent programs and its therapies to treat heart failure. Also participating in the meeting will be the company's group chairmen Ginger Graham and Jay Graf, Vice President of Finance and CFO Keith Brauer, and Guidant's business group presidents.

The live webcast of Guidant's analyst meeting will be accessible through Guidant's website or at CCBN's individual investor center at CompanyBoardroom.com. The webcast will be archived on both websites for future on-demand replay.
