Guidant to Host Briefing at the Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics Conference

Indianapolis, Ind. - Guidant Corporation (NYSE and PCX: GDT), a world leader in the medical technology industry, will host a briefing at the Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics (TCT) conference in Washington, D.C. The briefing, which will be webcast live, will take place on Friday, Sept. 14, from 8 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. (EDT). The session, hosted by Ronald W. Dollens, president and CEO of Guidant, and John M. Capek, Ph.D., president, Vascular Intervention, Guidant, will feature a discussion of Guidant's drug-coated stent program and vascular intervention business followed by a panel discussion. Scheduled presenters for the panel are Patrick Serruys, M.D., Thoraxcenter, Rotterdam; Renu Virmani, M.D., Armed Forces Pathology Institute; Alan Heldman, M.D., assistant professor of medicine, Johns Hopkins University, and Thomas Linnemeier, M.D., Guidant senior vice president and chief medical officer.
