Guidant to Host Investor Briefing at Paris Course on Revascularization

Indianapolis, Ind. - Guidant Corporation (NYSE and PCX: GDT), a world leader in the treatment of cardiac and vascular disease, today announced that it will host an investor briefing at the EuroPCR (Paris Course on Revascularization). The briefing will take place Friday, May 24, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. Paris time and 5:00 a.m. EDT.

The briefing will be hosted by Guido Neels, president, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Canada, Guidant, and John Capek, Ph.D., president, Vascular Intervention, Guidant. Also in attendance will be a panel of interventional cardiologists including Tony Gershlick, M.D. (Leicester, Britain) and Bill Knopf, M.D. (Atlanta, Ga.).
