Indianapolis, Ind. - Guidant Corporation (NYSE: GDT) acknowledges receipt of a letter dated today, , outlining a proposed transaction with Boston Scientific. Guidant's Board of Directors will consider the proposal submitted by Boston Scientific. Guidant will have no further comment on this matter at this time.
