NATICK, Mass., March 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Boston Scientific Corporation (NYSE: BSX) announced today that a U.S. District Court judge in Delaware has denied the Company's motion to overturn a jury verdict that the NIR® stent infringes a Johnson & Johnson patent. The NIR stent, designed and manufactured by Medinol Ltd., was formerly sold by Boston Scientific. Boston Scientific plans to appeal the judgment of the District Court.

The judge also denied Johnson & Johnson's motion to reinstate a prior damages verdict and ruled that the issue of damages will be deferred until after all liability issues are determined through appeal.
